Faith and Fear Come From Your Point of View.
Suppose you lived in the poorest nation in this world, yet you were an ambassador of the richest nation, it makes sense that you would not be subject to the poverty of the nation in which you represented your government. But imagine that you, the ambassador, went out of the embassy and someone hit you on the head and you lose your memory and forget you are an ambassador! From that point on, you become subject to the poverty of your host nation. Your poverty will persist until you regain your memory and come to an awareness that you are meant to be sustained by the wealthiest nation in existence. This is no parable. This is the true position of humanity. Every person on earth originates from God’s kingdom. The process of being born is analogous to being hit on the head such that you lose your spiritual memory of the kingdom of heaven. The life you live on earth from your birth is a life unconscious of the original kingdom you come from. The day you come to an awareness that you need God and the salvation He offers through His Son Yeshu’a is the day that you begin to regain your spiritual memory. From that day on )if the process is not hijacked by the enemy of your kingdom) you gradually disconnect yourself from this world and its economy and culture and reconnect yourself to the economy and culture of your home nation-the Kingdom of God. Remember, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us”-2 Corinthians 5:20.

It is a misnomer to think that you can get rich by taking and that a giver gets poorer by giving. No. Consider agriculture. Every time you plant a seed into the ground, that seeds begins to grow and to grow, it must absorb nutrients from the ground around it. And then it matures and the person who planted reaps a harvest. The sower is the giver. The ground is the receiver. The seed is the amount sown. The seed absorbs nutrient from the receiver even though he does not know it. And if all you do is to receive, one day you will be barren. In agriculture, if you constantly plant on the same piece of soil that soil would become barren after some years. This is why farmers practice shifting cultivation and cultivate on a new piece of land every three years. This is the reason why those nations that receive foreign aid are getting poorer while those nations that give foreign aid are getting richer. So, if you have that receiver mentality, don’t think that you are clever. No. You will never prosper as a receiver. No matter your level, start giving to get out of poverty. For as The Bible says in Proverbs 11:24-“One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty”. Poor people need to understand these principles more than they need money. Jesus didn’t just give the poor money. Rather he told John the Baptist’s disciples that “The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them”-Matthew 11:5.

Job was the Godliest man of his time. He was also the richest man of his time. A combination of Bill Graham and Bill Gates in one package. If you desire the type of blessings that God gave Job, ask yourself if you will be as Godly as Job if God blessed you with wealth. From The Bible we learn that both God and satan are constantly going from one end of the earth to the other seeking a man who can handle great wealth and power and still love God. We see this in 2 Chronicles 16:9 “for the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him”. We see this in Job 1:7 “The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it”. God is scanning this world for great faith, satan is scanning this world to bring people of such great faith down. If you can resist satan, like Job did, then God will unleash on you the abundant life that His Son Jesus talked about. But if you cannot, God loves you enough to keep wealth from you so that you will not gain the whole world and lose your soul!

The worst possible combination you could ever find in a man is to have a weak will and a strong ego. Man is an amphibian. Half spirit, half animal. Your will comes from your spirit man while your ego is from the animal part of you. Whichever you feed will determine the power that is strong or weak. Galatians 6:8 puts it best by saying “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life”. Your spirit, which will manifest itself sometimes through your will and sometimes through your conscience needs to be fed a regular diet of The Word of God or it will be overpowered by your ego. So, when you find yourself getting offended and saying to yourself ‘who is he?’ or ‘how dare you?’, it is time to check yourself, the animal in you may have sue zed control from the spirit in you. Why? Because the answer to the question ‘who are you?’ is that without God we are nothing. Even Jesus, The Son of God said “I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me”-John 5:30.

When people tell me they find it hard to believe that God will resurrect the dead in Christ I ask them if they have a car. Most will answer yes. Then I ask them if they’ve ever discovered their car would not start because the battery was dead. Most will say yes. You see, when our batteries die we call a friend, a mechanic or an automobile association to help us jump start our car then we drive around until our dead batteries are charged and what was once dead comes back to life. In like manner, The Bible in 1 Corinthians 15:45 calls Jesus “a life-giving spirit” that gives life and will give life to all who live and died believing in Him. If a man-made battery can give life to another man-made battery that died, is it too much to believe that God can resurrect a mortal being that He created? “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:p”-1 Thessalonians 4:16.
