Put on The Light Before Taking a Step
Proverbs 3:6 says “In all your ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct your paths”. This verse is clear that God needs to be invited by faith before you take a step. That is the prerequisite for Him to guide you. In Psalm 119:105 we read “Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”. Nobody starts walking in a dark place without first putting on The Light. Quite literally, this world is a dark place. In Isaiah 60:1-2 we read “arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen on you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people”. We are told that darkness covers the earth but God has sent His Light through His Son and His Word. If you want to avoid stumbling as you walk, put on God’s Light, by reading The Bible and praying, before you take a step and not after you do.
